On the morning of June 15, along with the wind of the 10th anniversary of our college, the opening ceremony of China-Pakistan Silk Road College was organized in the East Academic Lecture Hall. Johar Ali, the principal of Usman Institute of Technology in Pakistan, and Chen Chuanzhou, the general manager of Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd. attended the opening ceremony of our college. Dai Haidong, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the Principal of our college, Johar Al and Chen Chuanzhou delivered speeches and jointly unveiled the China-Pakistan Silk Road College plate. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zheng Qingzhu, member of the Party Committee as well as the minister of the United Front Work Department, more than 200 teachers and students representatives of the college witnessed this moment.

Dai Haidong extended a warm welcome to Johar Ali and Chen Chuanzhou, and expressed heartfelt thanks for their strong support. He proposed that all of the three parties should jointly develop the educational resources, in-depth cooperation in the formulation of industry standards, professional standards and skill standards, promoting the common will of the people through skills training as a connection link, so that China-Pakistan Silk Road College will become a golden card on the 'Belt and Road' strategy. Ali said Pakistan and China have already made significant progress in areas such as agriculture, energy and health, but there is still huge potential for further cooperation in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced materials,etc. The opening ceremony of the Silk Road College is a strong manifestation of the in-depth cooperation and common development between China and Pakistan in education. Chen Chuanzhou said that Yalong Group, as a leading enterprise in the domestic education equipment industry,  bearing the mission of 'striving to bring technology and skills to more people around the world', and will make all of the effort to build an Industry 4.0 intelligent manufacturing learning workshop for China-Pakistan Silk Road College and provide competition platforms and technical support for various competitions. Adhering to the spirit of inheriting traditional Chinese culture, before the official launch of the opening ceremony of China-Pakistan Silk Road College, the Huating Dragon and Lion Troupe of our college performed traditional lion dance outside the East Academic lecture hall for guests coming from afar, which successfully demonstrated our students’ wonderful skills on lion dance.

It is said that the establishment of China-Pakistan Silk Road College originated from our collage's initiative to be integrated and follow the national service strategy, taking international Silk Road College as an important window for vocational education opening up to the outside world. We cooperated with Pakistan Usman Institute of Technology and Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group to build the Silk Road College, and in October 2022, the China-Pakistan Silk Road College was signed by three parties. Since the signing of the agreement, the three parties have actively engaged in communication and in-depth cooperation, effectively promoting the construction of China-Pakistan Silk Road College. Usman Institute of Technology has set up a special teaching venue for the Silk Road College and organized relevant personnel to participate in skill training; The training equipment provided by Yalong company has been shipped to Pakistan for installation and trial run, and will continue to provide educational technology service support, soft resources, personnel training and construction programs and technical training certification services for cooperative professionals. Our college has carried out a separate term of both Chinese and vocational skills training for Pakistan, the second term is scheduled to start in July; The three parties also reached consensus on the recruitment and training of Pakistani students in China in the second half of the year.
