On February 20, the 2022 “Belt & Road” and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition - the first Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technology (Edge Computing) final came to an end, our college students from Artificial Intelligence faculty achieved good results. The student team members are Shao Haoze, Zangmeng, Shen Zhaoyu and Xue Zhaoyang, who are instructed by the academic advisors of artificial intelligence technology application named Fu Xianjun, Lian Bobo, Lin Zhongchen and Cao Qianyu, got a national level second prize and a third prize.

It is said that the “Belt & Road” and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition - the first Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technology (Edge Computing) final is hosted by the Chinese Part of the BRICS Business Council, the “Belt and Road” and BRICS Skills Development International Alliance, and the China Association for Science and Technology, the “Belt & Road” and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Training Center and  co-sponsored by China Association of Invention and China Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education. It is undertook by the BRICS Business Council (Chinese Part) Skills Development Working Group, and jointly undertook by Beijing Institute of Education and Technology, Wuhu Science and Technology Engineering, Shanghai Shangtang Intelligent Technology, and Beijing ARC Xinxing Science and Technology. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the competition was postponed to February 18, 2023. There are more than 130 contestants forming 65 teams from over 40 middle and higher vocational colleges nationally took part in the competition.

Through this competition, both our students’ professional and vocational skills are greatly improved meanwhile unfolding the shine of students from the “security” college, highlighting the quality of  talent training by our college, which fully achieves the purpose of urging teaching and learning by competition. Through the process of competition preparation, the academic supervisor team also experienced new ideas, new methods and new models, and deepen their understanding of new industries, new forms and new technologies. They will take the competition as an opportunity to explore the training system for innovative talents, and impel to the cultivation of high-quality technical and skill talents and the reform of professional teaching.
